What Is a Punjab Board Result Gazette?
A result Gazette is an official examination record published by an education board after results are finalized. For Punjab Board examinations, the Gazette can contain result information for a large number of candidates from the same examination session.
Unlike an individual online result page, which is designed around one student’s roll number, a Gazette is a broader document. It may allow users to look through multiple entries and locate a student’s result within the published record.
Gazettes are particularly useful when someone needs to review several results, verify information appearing in a published record, or keep a broader examination record for reference.
Result Gazette vs Individual Result
Individual Online Result
An online result portal is designed to provide a student’s result after entering information such as the examination roll number. It is generally the quickest way to view subject-wise marks and the overall result.
Result Gazette
A Gazette brings many candidates’ results together in one published record. It can therefore be more useful when someone needs to examine multiple entries rather than only one student’s result.
What Information Is Found in a Result Gazette?
The exact format depends on the examination board and the particular result session, but a Punjab Board Gazette can contain several types of examination information.
- Student names
- Roll numbers
- Subject-wise marks or examination marks
- Total marks
- Grades or result status where applicable
- Pass or other result status
- Examination and board information
The layout, headings and amount of information can differ between Gazette files. For that reason, users should read the headings and instructions inside the particular document they are using.
How to Check a Result in the Gazette
If you have the correct Gazette file, locating a result is usually a matter of identifying the relevant examination section and searching for the student’s information.
- Open the Gazette page for the relevant class and examination.
- Download or open the available Gazette document.
- Confirm that the Gazette belongs to the correct Punjab Board and examination session.
- Use the PDF search function where supported, or browse the relevant pages manually.
- Search using the student’s roll number or another identifying detail provided in the Gazette.
- Compare the information shown in the Gazette with the student’s available result information.
When Is a Result Gazette Useful?
A Gazette can be helpful in situations where an individual result page is not the most convenient source. For example, teachers, institutions and families may need to look at several students’ records instead of checking each candidate separately.
It can also provide a published reference for a particular examination session. However, a Gazette should not be treated as a replacement for an official certificate or other original academic document when one is required for admission, employment or formal verification.
Punjab Boards Covered by Gazette Resources
The Punjab education system includes nine Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Each board serves a defined group of districts and publishes examination results for students within its jurisdiction.

- BISE Rawalpindi
- BISE Sahiwal
- BISE Sargodha

Understanding the Class and Examination Terms
Punjab Board result searches often use different names for the same examination. Knowing these terms makes it easier to find the correct Gazette.
- 9th Class refers to SSC Part-I.
- 10th Class refers to SSC Part-II.
- 11th Class is also called 1st Year or HSSC Part-I.
- 12th Class is also called 2nd Year or HSSC Part-II.
Because these terms are commonly used interchangeably in student searches, selecting the correct examination part is important before opening a Gazette.
Finding the Correct Gazette for Your Class
If you are looking for an SSC Part-I record, the dedicated 9th Class Gazette resource contains the relevant 2026 information.
For SSC Part-II students, the 10th Class result Gazette page provides the corresponding examination resource.

Important Things to Know About Result Gazettes
Use the Correct Examination and Board
A Gazette is tied to a particular examination, year and board. Always confirm these details before relying on information from a PDF.
Check the Original Result When Necessary
If you need a student’s complete online result, marks details or formal academic documentation, use the relevant board’s official result service or obtain the required original document.
Gazette Files Can Differ in Format
Different BISE boards may publish their result records in different PDF layouts. Search tools may therefore work differently depending on the file.
