This page links to the current Punjab textbook board syllabus for Matric and Intermediate classes, covering 9th, 10th, 1st Year, and 2nd Year. Select your class below for subject-wise syllabus details and official curriculum documents.

Syllabus by Class

Punjab’s Matric and Intermediate curriculum is set by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) and followed by all nine Punjab boards — the

syllabus doesn’t vary by board, only by class and subject group.

BISE Punjab Syllabus — 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th Class

The syllabus is the official outline of what you must study for your board examinations: the topics in each subject, the marks distribution, and the paper pattern. Your entire preparation should follow the syllabus issued for your class and session — studying outside it wastes time, and missing a topic from it costs marks.

FAQs

Is the syllabus the same for all nine Punjab boards?

Yes — the syllabus is issued centrally and applies to all nine BISE boards of Punjab.

Does the syllabus change every year?

Not every year, but it is revised periodically. Always confirm you are preparing from the syllabus for your own session.

Are pairing schemes part of the syllabus?

Boards sometimes release pairing schemes showing how questions are distributed across chapters. Treat them as guides, not guarantees — the syllabus itself is the authority.

Where can I download the syllabus PDF?

From your board’s official website, under the Syllabus or Academics section.
