About BISE Lahore
BISE Lahore is the largest of Punjab’s nine education boards by enrolment, handling annual Matric and Intermediate examinations for roughly two million candidates across its four districts. Because of that scale, its result days tend to draw heavy website traffic — the SMS service (800291) is often the faster option in the first hour or two after an announcement.
Position holders are announced a day ahead of the general result in a ceremony held by the board, and a full result gazette — listing every candidate’s marks by school — is published shortly after each announcement for students who want to verify their result manually.
How to Check by Roll Number
- Open the official BISE Lahore result portal, result.biselahore.com.
- Select your class and the current annual examination.
- Enter your roll number exactly as printed on your slip.
- Submit to view your subject-wise marks, grade, and overall status.
- Check your name, father’s name, and institution carefully — the online result is provisional and doesn’t replace the original result card issued by the board.
How to Check by Name
If you don’t have your roll number, the gazette (below) allows a name-based lookup — useful since several candidates can share an identical name, so cross-check against your father’s name and school before trusting a match.
How to Check by SMS
Heavy traffic in the first hour after an announcement is normal for Lahore Board specifically, since it has the highest candidate volume of any Punjab board. SMS is the reliable backup.
- Open your phone’s messaging app.
- Type only your complete roll number.
- Send it to 800291.
- Wait for the reply with your result information.
How to Check via Gazette
The gazette contains complete results of all candidates, institution-wise performance, and the position-holder list — published shortly after the online result, and useful for schools checking multiple students.
- Download the PDF gazette from biselahore.com once published.
- On a computer, press Ctrl+F and search your roll number.
- On mobile, use your PDF reader’s built-in search.
- Roll number search is more reliable than name search, since names repeat.

BISE Lahore Result by SMS (800291)
Type your roll number only and send it to 800291 from any mobile network (Jazz, Zong, Telenor, Ufone). The board replies with your total marks and result status. Standard network charges apply, and replies can be delayed during peak hours on result day. Make sure you send the SMS to the correct Lahore code — sending it to another board’s code is the most common reason for getting no reply.
Date Sheets and Roll Number Slips
BISE Lahore publishes the date sheet (exam schedule) a few weeks before the written papers begin, followed by roll number slips that show your exam centre and subject-wise dates. Regular students receive their slips through their schools or colleges; private candidates download them from the board’s website. Check your name, subjects, and centre as soon as you receive the slip and report any error to the board immediately — do not wait for exam day.
Position Holders, Rechecking, and Supplementary Exams
BISE Lahore announces position holders one day before each result — separately for Science, Computer Science, Arts, and Commerce groups where applicable, for boys and girls. Toppers receive merit certificates, cash awards, and scholarships at a formal ceremony. Students who believe there was a marking error can apply for rechecking through the board’s website within the announced deadline (a per-subject fee applies). Students who fail one or more subjects can appear in the supplementary examinations, for which the board publishes a separate date sheet within weeks of the result.
