What Is a Roll Number Slip?
A roll number slip is your official admission ticket for the board examinations. It carries your roll number, your name and photograph, the subjects you are appearing in, and the name and address of your exam centre. You must carry it to every paper — without it, you will not be allowed to sit in the examination hall.
Regular vs Private Students
Regular students receive their roll number slips through their schools or colleges, which distribute them a few days before the first paper. Private candidates (improvers, supplementary candidates, and private admissions) download their slips from their board’s official website. If your institution has not given you the slip by a day or two before the exams, contact your school/college office immediately.
How to Download Your Roll Number Slip
- Open your board’s official website: Lahore (biselahore.com), Gujranwala (bisegrw.edu.pk), Multan (bisemultan.edu.pk), Faisalabad (bisefsd.edu.pk), Rawalpindi (biserawalpindi.edu.pk), Bahawalpur (bisebwp.edu.pk), Sargodha (bisesargodha.edu.pk), Dera Ghazi Khan (bisedgk.edu.pk), Sahiwal (bisesahiwal.edu.pk).
- Find the “Roll Number Slip” or “Admissions” section.
- Enter your form number, registration number, or the details requested.
- Download the slip and take a clear print — keep a spare copy at home too.
Roll number slips are normally issued 10–15 days before the first paper. For the 2027 annual exams, watch your board’s website and your institution from February 2027 (Matric) and March 2027 (Intermediate) onward. These are expected windows based on past years, not confirmed dates.
Check These Details on Your Slip
- Your name — spelling must match your registration.
- Subjects — every subject you applied for must be listed.
- Exam centre — name and full address; visit it a day early if it is unfamiliar.
- Paper dates and sessions — confirm them against the official date sheet.
- Your photograph — it should be clearly visible.
If anything is wrong — wrong subject, wrong name spelling, or a missing paper — report it to your board through your school or college immediately. Errors are easy to fix before the exams start and very difficult after.
Lost Your Slip? Do This
If you lose your roll number slip, download and print another copy from the board’s website (private candidates) or request a duplicate from your institution (regular students). On exam day, carry your original CNIC/B-Form or school ID as backup identification — but note that the slip itself is still mandatory for entry.
FAQs
When will the 2027 roll number slips be issued?
They have not been announced yet. Slips are normally issued 10–15 days before the first paper — expected around February 2027 for Matric and March 2027 for Intermediate, based on the usual pattern.
Where can I download my roll number slip?
Private candidates download it from their board’s official website. Regular students receive it from their school or college.
Can I enter the exam hall without my slip?
No. The roll number slip is mandatory for entry into the examination hall.
My subject is missing from the slip. What should I do?
Report it to your board immediately through your school or college — do not wait for exam day.
Is the exam centre the same as my school?
Not necessarily. The board assigns centres, and your centre is printed on your slip. Check it as soon as you receive the slip.
Can I change my exam centre?
Centre changes are only possible through the board’s official procedure within the announced window, and are rarely granted. Apply early if you have a genuine reason.
